Forget your Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Forget 4k televisions the size of billboards, and hi-tech laptops thinner than a slice of ham.In fact, it doesn’t matter what sort of deal or bargain you bagged over the past few days, I guarantee it won’t be better than this.
The ‘this’ in question is a bottle of 2010 Casella Limited Reserve Sauvignon Blanc.
So, what’s all the fuss about? What makes this bottle of wine such a bargain?
This collection is in complete contrast to the Aussie company’s global hit Yellow Tail, the number one imported wine in the US (2003). Let’s just say that when John Casella calls it ‘Limited’ he means limited.
Sort of explains our recent excitement as we took delivery of a small consignment of both ‘reds’ (making HOME DELIVERY WINE the only stockist in the whole of the UK & Ireland).
Selling point number two. This ‘Cab Sauv’ is a seriously good drop of wine.
Let me put it this way, I’ve been fortunate enough to sample a few (‘few’ being a very loose term) glasses and the greatest compliment I can pay this wine is that it tastes every bit as good as the celebrated Casella Cabernet Sauvignon 1919.
Integrated oak and fine-grained tannins
Throw in a wonderfully structured finish and you can see why I hold a soft spot for this product of the vines in Barossa Valley, McClaren Vale, and Wrattonbully.
The ‘1919’ is a £65 bottle of wine, which brings me neatly on to selling point number three for the 2010 Casella Limited Reserve. PRICE!
Despite its quality, and rarity, a bottle of Cab Sauv (or Shiraz) retails at just £29.99. Now, how about we knock £10 OFF? That’s right. Whilst stock lasts HOME DELIVERY WINE is offering a bottle of the 2010 Casella Limited Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (or Shiraz) at £19.99.
Just do me one favour. Don’t tell any Australian’s I’m selling their best stuff at a rock-bottom price. They’ll think I’m a right ‘flaming galah’.
