Intensely aromatic with abundant tropical fruit such as guava and passion fruit, perfectly balanced with the mineral notes and herbal tones so typical of premium Sauvignon.
The grapes were handpicked in the early morning and then transported to the winery, where 100% were destemmed, chilled, crushed, and pressed. To preserve the wine’s aromas, all of the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures using yeasts specially selected to highlight aromatic compounds. The batches were aged on the lees for 3 months to enhance texture and volume on the palate.
The grapes for Sauvignon Blanc Max Reserva Aconcagua Costa 2011 were sourced from the Manzanar vineyard, located just 12km from the Pacific Ocean. This hillside estate is located 100-300 metres above sea level. The drip irrigated, vertically trained vines are planted in thin, loamy soil, 40-80cm deep and overlaying rocky-clay subsoil.
