2008 Glaetzer Amon Ra.

Dark inky reddish-purple orange colour with bits of sedimentation in the bottom of the glass.
An intensely fruit-driven nose with impressions of black pepper, meat, mild oak with considerable alcoholic heat.
This big wine is medium full-bodied, mouth-coating, flavorful, and quite intense as a Barossa Shiraz should. Upon opening,
this wine tasted a bit astringent and a taste sensation similar to flat carbonated water, and noticeably copious amounts of alcohol.
In terms of the flavour profile, it has rich ripe blackish blue and dark red fruits, a bovine profile, black pepper,
with a touch of vanilla oak and a faint earthy mineral finish.
