A magnificent, muscular, unctuous 'Bordeaux blend' comprising Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in proportions dependent on the vintage, capable of long ageing and wonderfully approachable in its youth. 15 months in 100% new French oak barrels, a triumph.

"Black, ripe, cassis and black plum, with cedar coming through, the oak polished, and there is an elegance to the character on the palate too. The palate is really smooth, but fresh and smooth, with great spicy tannins and lovely dry extract.

Susana Balbo Signature Brioso 2014, the Bordeaux blend style that Susana elaborates with grapes from Agrelo's own vineyard, received 95 points. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot spreads out elegance and it shows as one of the most emblematic wines of the winery.

Susana Balbo Brioso : Peppery dark fruits, black tea, cedar and fresh herbs on the vibrant nose. Densely packed and extremely backward, conveying an impression of sappy energy to its urgent dark berry, black tea and pepper flavors. This began quite tight but really exploded in the glass with aeration, revealing terrific purity of fruit perfectly framed by ripe acidity. Finishes broad and horizontal, with ripe tannins and excellent grip”.
