Vibrant, deep ruby in colour. A beautifully fragrant wine with black fruit characters of cherry, sweet plums and blackcurrant on the nose, with notes of chocolate and nutmeg spice.

The Stickleback blend is chosen for optimum flavour and texture, with each variety bringing a unique character to the wine. Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz give the wine a rich savoury character and great structure.

Dolcetto lends brightness and lift, and Lagrein contributes spice, tannin, and fresh, crisp acidity to the palate.

Heartland Wines were started by a group of friends in 2001, all of whom have worked within the cogs of the wine industry for years. The Heartland owners are Ben Glaetzer, Grant Tilbrook, Scott Collet, Geoff Hardy, Vicki Arnold, Gino Melino, and John Pargeter. The team is actively involved in all aspects of the business, from growing the grapes, winemaking, and marketing to selling the wines.

There are three ranges under the Heartland Wine label - Heartland Stickleback, Heartland Coast & Creek, and the flagship Director's Cut Shiraz. All three are available in our store.

All Heartland wines are made with fruit from mature vineyards in the Limestone Coast and Langhorne Creek in South Australia.
