Santa Alicia Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon.

Balance and complexity from selected grapes with an extended barrel and bottle ageing. Deep cherry red in colour, a warm inviting nose of damson and cherry is followed by the gentlest texture imaginable. Aromas of prunes, chocolate, some notes of Menthol characteristics from the Valley, and toasted oak are also obvious. The palate is well structured with firm tannins. The Gran Reserva wines of Santa Alicia are fermented in small batches, separated by grape variety and lot, picking date and pressing. Each batch is individually selected and managed in order to avoid any risks during the process. One hundred percent of the wine is aged in French oak for 12 months before being aged in the bottle for a further 12 months.

Santa Alicia has been producing wines in the heart of Maipo Valley since 1954. With grapes from three select communes, a state of the art winery, and judicious use of the finest American and French oak barrels, we believe the wines represent the highest price/quality ratio in Chile.

In 2007, they were named Chilean Wine Producer of the Year for "best overall results from a Chilean winery" in the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition in London.

David contributes, together with his philosophy of perfection, extensive knowledge, and the dedication of an artisan. For him, a glass of wine goes beyond the sensory pleasure and turns into a bridge of communication between the art of creating a mythical concoction and its final consumers.
