Is anything left sacred or has the celeb branding market gone crazy?

ACTRESS Drew Barrymore has put her stamp firmly on the vineyard sector following the footsteps of Madonna, Olivia Newton-John, Antonio Banderas, Dan Aykroyd and Dave Matthews, to name but a few. Not happy about conquering the film business, after picking up a Golden Globe, Drew has decided to put her business savvy mind into launching Barrymore 2011 Pinot Grigio. Which earlier this month picked up gold at France's largest international wine competition, Le Challenge International Du Vin. She was quoted saying to Wine Spectator magazine, "I love wine, and it's always fun when you can do something in your work life that you love in your personal life." If that's the case Drew, we would have bottled Kenny's Wine years ago but c'est la vie - we haven't quite reached celebrity status just yet! The wine is set to reflect her personality: fresh, dynamic and fun. Six thousand cases of Barrymore's 2011 pinot grigio - a blend of grapes from the Northern Italian regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trention Alto Adige and Vento have been produced so far. Maybe in light of this we should start a celebrity section on the site - you never know Christine Bleakley could be next? http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainment/food/list_cask_idaNJohwML71vNwv90HKdL
