    Lucky for us he left the cow's udder for someone else and plied his trade with vines, grapes and bloody good wine. He's one of New Zealand's most talented winemakers and as the head honcho chief winemaker he oversees one of the biggest wine brands in his country and a juggernaut in the overseas markets. Bit of pressure then, right?

    But Ben and his team seem to nail it every time - so we were very privileged to have this New Zealand wonder pop into one of our stores and give us the lowdown on his winery and some vine tips!

  • Seasons Greetings

    We have had a frenzied few months since the launch of in October this year. The last 12 weeks have been overflowing with in-store wine tasting evenings, a wine and dine event in Ballymena, sponsoring of Sports Awards in the NW, sourcing wonderful local produce for our festive hampers and wracking our brains to provide you with the best possible drink promotions 24-7. We recently launched our QR code, which can be found in all our store windows and future advertising, this will allow you to scan the code on your smart phone and be taken directly to the website - talk about window shopping!

    Everything that we do, I hope has made your shopping easier, faster and most importantly cost effective. 2012 will see a year packed full of more events, sponsorships and promotions as well as new lines coming on board.   • Expanding convenience store operator goes online with innovative new venture

    An innovative Mid-Ulster and North West company which has increased staff numbers by almost 50% this year to more than 160 people is continuing to invest significantly with support from Ulster Bank.

    Kenny’s Group, which comprises convenience stores, forecourts and wine stores at six locations in Mid-Ulster and the North West, is investing £1.5million this year alone with help from the bank. It is also set to unveil an innovative new online wine store and home delivery service.

    The new venture,, will launch this week, offering more than 700 products. It will also feature a regularly updated blog with expert opinions, videos on wine tasting and relevant news.

    The group’s owner, Kenny Bradley, says that the online store will allow the company to reach a new and wider audience, including outside the local area and outside of Northern Ireland.
